What we collect

Through this website, only what you type into a form: your name, email address, phone number if you give one, the subject you pick, and your message. The site does not ask for Social Security numbers, bank details or tax documents, and you should never send them through it.

In the office, preparing a return or keeping books requires far more — income records, identification, bank information and similar. That information is collected directly from you or from documents you provide.

What we use it for

To answer you, to prepare and file the work you have asked for, and to meet the record keeping obligations that apply to tax preparers. Nothing else.

Who else sees it

Tax and accounting information is not disclosed to anyone outside the office except as required to prepare and file your work, as you have authorised, or as the law requires. Where a service is delivered by a third party — for example a refund advance offered by a lender — the information needed for that application goes to that provider, and their own terms apply.

Mega Financial does not sell client information or share it for advertising.

How long it is kept

Tax records are retained for the period required by federal and state rules, and then disposed of securely.

Website data

This site does not run advertising trackers. Messages sent through the contact form are delivered by email to the office. Email is not a secure channel, which is why the form asks you not to put sensitive numbers in it.

Asking us about your data

Call the office on 313.778.3617 or email megafinancialtax@gmail.com and ask. You can request a copy of documents you have provided, or ask what is held.

Scope

This notice covers this website and the office’s general handling of client information. It is not legal advice, and it does not replace any engagement letter or consent form you sign for a specific piece of work.
